War Room

Have you seen the movie? Have you read the book? Do you go to war in prayer? Where is your sacred place? My eldest got my interested in “War Room.” She wanted the book. But gosh it was so expensive… I downloaded the movie… It was a great movie, I must say… We were all touched… Even Brian… It made me re-examine my prayer life (again). I’m not where I want to be. I was on my way, but I have had some set backs…

In any case, it made me think, where do I touch God the most? Where do I go to battle? The bathroom! Haha! Sounds funny, right? But it’s true! My “prayer closet” is my bathroom. I shut myself in there – either when I am showering, or I just go in, shut the door with the lights out, and I call out to Jesus. It’s where I go to war. My battles are fought, my tears are shed, my spirit is drained, strengthened, and renewed – in the bathroom. I love it when I take a shower, and can just touch God… Then it’s like all of the old – all of my sins – all of my cares, my worries, my doubts – are washed away down the drain. “… Casting all your cares upon Him for He cares for you…”

That movie also made me want to start a “Prayer Journal.” Since I pray in the bathroom, I can’t hang papers on the wall or anything… However, I can keep a journal… Of prayers, of motivational scriptures, people to pray for, supplications, praise reports… So much is going on – so much is going WRONG. It is time to FIGHT! ” … For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and rulers of the darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places.” I am not perfect. I may be the root of the problem. Prayer will expose that. AND fix it!

The movie was great. Time to read the book…
