“It Is Finished”

“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” John‬ ‭19:30‬ KJV

Today is a bittersweet day. I cannot think of Christ’s journey to the cross without a deep sadness for all that he endured, knowing that he endured it for me. I also cannot think of his journey to the cross without deep love, admiration, and gratefulness.

We have hope. He laid down his life willingly for all of mankind. He loved us that much! “It is finished,” marked the fulfillment of his time robed in flesh, the fulfillment of the scriptures. It wasn’t the end of the story.

  1. That’s a time to rejoice because it marked the fate of the adversary, the devil. Anything and everything that he could possibly do is ineffective because of lamb’s life that was the ultimate sacrifice so we could have the victory and reconnect back to the father
