Over the last week or so, I’ve read quite a few posts about love. Some similar. All quite familiar – at least, I think. We outline and define love based on the different types of love. But how many truly know what love is? Maybe I have found a place… Maybe I have found some people… Who not only know what love is, but how to love…
I love you. How many times did I exchange this today? I meant each and every one. I love you. So special were the I love you’s I shared – mother to son/daughters and the reverse. And, the I love you’s between friends. I love you’s between family I hadn’t seen in about month, some only a matter of days. I love you. I missed you. Hugs.
I don’t know the name for all the different types of love, but I definitely experienced love today. Reflecting with my children, I asked for their takeaways… Love, there was lots of love. How we had forgotten. The love poured out today, was as God intended it to be..
Hugs, laughter, tears… My heart is so full, it feels as though it will burst.

There are 8 types of love according to the greeks. Falling in or out of love is one of the strongest emotions that people can experience. Love can be kind. Love can be cruel. Love is everything. Love has been called “one of the most studied and least understood areas in psychology.” Everyone has experienced feelings of love to some extent or another. There are those who found love then lost it, those who found it and kept it and those who are seeking it in odd places. There are also those who don’t know they have it, not realizing it is closer than they think. I wrote an article on my website titled “8 flavours of love – Which one are you? abouthttps://authorjoannereed.net/lets-talk-about-love-8-flavors-of-love/ – Check it out
