A Week In Review

“Send me three words to describe how your past 5 days have been.” – A company wide email from our Executive Director

I was not totally sure what to say. One of the newer ones in the office and, although the week had been full, I didn’t know that I could narrow it down to just 3 words. I like words! I write – now I have to sum it all up in 3 words?! I landed on: Finding a balance.

Which was totally true of my week. To balance prayer, Bible reading, work, tele-conferencing meetings, kids, homeschooling, cooking/meal prep – suddenly has been more of a challenge than when I went into the office. So, “finding a balance.”

He came up with a creative way to illustrate everyone’s (who responded) thoughts. Reviewing the graphic, I was a bit surprised. Sure, it has been busy and even taking some getting used to, but stressful, overwhelmed… My heart goes out to those…

I had a coworker reach out the other day, Can we chat later, I’m in tears.

Amidst the COVID-19, stay home orders and such, people are panicking, feeling stressed and overwhelmed.

Praying for you. I wanted her to know.

This week has been full, still, I managed to connect with friends and family. I have no complaints about anything from this past week.

For the stressed and overwhelmed, I am saying a special prayer today. I pray that God’s peace and comfort surround you in a real and tangible way. That when you feel it, you will know, it was only by His hands.

“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee…” Psalms‬ ‭55:22a‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I want to ask you to reflect on your past week. How has it been? Do you feel the same as the graphic above? Any other insights to share?

  1. It’s been a very reflective and emotional week, the initial distractions of shock, confusion, adjusting to sudden changes etc have settled to allow for (much needed) thinking and digesting time. 🙏🔆

    1. Hi Cherryl! I agree that it has definitely been a week to take time and reflect. I had a conversation with my sister today regarding the adjustment to the sudden changes especially with regard to children. I also agree that we ought use this time wisely. You will be in my thoughts and prayers!
