A Call

A call to repentance.. These words have echoed in my thoughts for several weeks now… A call to repentance…

I heard it simply put that repentance means change. It is not merely saying, I’m sorry. Repentance – true repentance requires action – requires a change in ourselves, our behaviors, our thoughts, our actions… Change… No longer doing and/or being who we once were. Change.

I do not know everything that there is to know about Bible or God or other things. One thing that I do know is that every answer to every question is in His Word and His Word stands alone.

Sometimes we/I think that we have to add or leave out, or make it sound a certain way – to reach others. But, if we stand on His Word… The Word of God that has withstood the test of time – the Word of God that has not changed… Isn’t that all we need? Because the Word of God stands alone.

To be honest and true with those whom we come in contact, to be the salt and light in the world – we are called to be doers of the Word, and not hearers only. In this time, while we have a chance, we must do our Father’s work.

“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein you have done foolishly: therefore from now on you shall have wars.” 2 Chronicles 16:9 KJV

He is seeking for a people whose heart is perfect toward Him. Our God never sleeps. He is continually searching. Searching our hearts and our intentions/motives.

It is time that we truly turn to Him. Do His will. Do His work. It’s also time that we answer the call to repentance. He is coming back, quickly. And we must share His Word with everyone.
