As ready as I am for the physical distancing/stay home orders to lift, I must say that I am grateful for the opportunity and time that I have had to rest and connect.
My godmother put it best: I do not always have time to call, now that we are forced to stay home, I can call and check on everyone.
It’s been great to connect with friends and family both near and far – when I look at the glass half full. It’s true, I don’t often have, or make, the time to call or FaceTime those whom are so very important to me. Staying home – physically distant, has granted me the opportunity to close some gaps between them and me.. With friends and family, not only all over the USA, but also all over the world, I’m grateful for the opportunity to chat and video – just connect, really.
True, I’m still working, the kids are homeschooling and I’m trying to find the balance. One thing is for certain, as many have stated the normal that we will discover after the order lifts, will not be the same normal as before it all began – I for one have found a reason to be grateful!
My new normal will have to be different. I have already begun to ensure to make time for the things, and people, that matter most. I must admit, I didn’t do this before and I still have lots of work to do to get it just right. Old friends and new, work and family – I’m still trying to find the balance and ensure God is in the midst of it all.
Whatever it looks like on the other side of the virus/orders, I plan to come out better than before – recognizing what’s really important…

I am very happy for you to have been able to connect with your Family and Godmother in a real way. I know they value it as much as you do. God continue to bless you and the children.❤

It is a chance to reconnect in a better way with those people and those things which are important to us. Look after yourself.
