Praying Woman

God didn’t call us to be dormant, timid, shy. No, He called us to pray powerful prayers. Prayers that move mountains. Prayers that storm the gates of hell. He called us to intercede on behalf of our children, friends, loved ones, even others whom we do not know. Some of the mightiest prayer warriors I know are strong, yet meek, women of God.

I feel now, more than ever, that it’s time for women to come out of their shells, rise up to what the Lord has called us to do – fulfill the purpose for which He has called us. It’s so easy to hide in the shadows of our spouses, children, employers, but our voices are needed. It is past time to declare and proclaim the word of the Lord over our families, our churches, our communities, our nation, this world.

I, personally, cannot sit back any longer and wait for someone else to step up to the plate. The time is now. We must pray and we must share the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is power in the word of our testimony.
