What have you been praying about?

We sometimes throw around platitudes such as God’s got it! God’s working on it! It’s in God’s hands! But then we turn to our own devices, our return to our previous paths.

I was chatting with a friend recently and she shared how a missionary came to their church. A mutual friend invited someone with an autoimmune disease who later and called and shared, “I just know I’ve been healed! I’m going to throw out all my medication!” The mutual stopped her immediately. “Don’t do that! Go to the doctor first.”

Where is the faith?

I have had illnesses that the doctors told me would require me to take medication for the rest of my life in order to lead a normal life. Illnesses that were confirmed by series of tests. Illnesses that I knew only God could and would deliver me from. Illnesses that God has delivered me from (thank You, Jesus)!

If we truly believe that we serve a God who heals, we must walk in that faith. We must take back everything that was taken from us by force, beginning with our faith, losing all doubt.

Let’s be careful not to discourage others, especially babes in the faith, should we doubt. It’s time to increase our faith, eradicate our doubt, step aside and watch God move!
