Even When My Eyes Cannot See…

Isn’t it such a comfort to know that Jesus is Lord and He is a sovereign God?! It has become so evident to me that God’s ways are so much higher than mine.

I wrote a while back about a journey I would be embarking upon with my family… I sold my house back in July and moved back across the country. It hasn’t been an easy road, but it has been a blessed one. Although everything has not turned out as I planned, God has continued to show Himself strong.

Driving across the country, I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many different individuals from different places, backgrounds, and beliefs. I’ve also seen God’s hands at work in various situations by granting me favor, putting people in my life who told me “it can’t be done”, only to turn around and help me achieve what seemed impossible.

I don’t know that I’ve ever experienced this kind of grace and kindness from people in all of my life.

I’ve had doubts about this journey, is this really the right thing? Am I truly doing what God wants or am I taking matters into my own hands? Every time I surrender my will, wants, and desires to Christ, He shows up in the most unexpected ways.

I keep reading reports of the increased violence, surging covid cases, excessive heat warnings, death and dying – a world in chaos – yet, I thank God, for the good and the bad. He has truly been our protection, buckler, and shield.

At the moment, I cannot see the ending. I do not know what exactly is next, but my hope and trust is in Jesus. He knows the ending and the beginning. He was not taken by surprise when the contract on the house fell through days before closing. It’s all in His hands and He has a plan. I may not see it, but I trust Him.
