Satisfied

I remember being that married gal that thought all my single friends needed to be in a relationship. Now, I seem to be that single friend that all my married friends think need to be in a relationship.

One thing I have learned is that married, single, or dating, it really doesn’t matter, if God isn’t our source, we won’t be satisfied.

Thankfully, God is our source.

“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” John 6:35 KJV

A lesson I have learned in my singleness is that God truly satisfies every part of us. I didn’t think I would be able to last as a single, however having been single for several years, I no longer desire a relationship or a change in my “status”.

And, you know, God has a way of putting all the right people in your life at exactly the right time.

We made a journey across the United States and I have been delightfully overwhelmed with the kindness of strangers. God has placed so many wonderful people in my life for just the moment and/or for extended periods.

When we first started out on this journey, I admit, I was nervous – fearful even. It’s so difficult to venture in the unknown. But when God is leading the way, He provides peace. I can truly say that His Word has been a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

Now, we’re on to part 2 of the journey…
