Deserving

Sometimes we allow others and our circumstances to dictate not only our worth but what we think we deserve.

I wonder how much I missed out thinking I was undeserving.

I have wasted time allowing circumstances and others tell me what and who I deserved. Which amounted to nothing much at all. But when I stopped focusing on the voice of others and the noise of circumstances and instead began to listen to the voice of God, I found grace, love, and mercy.

God didn’t give me what I surely deserved for the wages of my sin. Instead, by His grace, love, and own blood shed, He granted me forgiveness. I learned that we are all worthy of His love, forgiveness and an abundant life.

I’m glad that I stopped listening to the voice of my own, and others’, negativity. I’m glad that I discovered who I am, who God called me to be, and His never-ending, never failing love for me.
