Posture of Power

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9 KJV

I was chatting with my sister the other and I felt the words, posture of power, so strong within me. You see, we go through things in life that we simply cannot comprehend or understand. However, just as Jesus spoke to the wind and the rain and commanded, peace, be still. We can speak to our circumstances. We must be strong and courageous, knowing that it is not by our own power, will, or might, but by God’s power and might living in us, fighting for us, our shield. Our defense is Christ Jesus. With this we must approach our lives and situations from a posture of power. Our prayers, words, belief should all come from a posture of power.

Through the Holy Spirit living in us, we can speak to that thing in our lives and command peace, be still, in the name of Jesus Christ. We can command every mountain in our lives to be removed, in Jesus’s name, and it has to move. This is not only the promise of Jesus, but also demonstrative of the power He has endowed us with.

God is with us everywhere we go. He fights for us. We don’t have to sit idly by and just take it. It’s time for us to stand up, stand against, and approach every situation from a posture of power. It’s “…Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6 KJV

“The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.” Exodus 15:2 KJV
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” Ephesians 6:10 KJV
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10 KJV

  1. Great reminders as our days are full of trouble all around us. One cannot read the papers, listen to TV or radio, read facebook or any social news or even talk to friends that the troubles do not come up. Our minds are full of it. So this kind of post is great for putting our mind heavenly. Thanks you.
