This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 Timothy 3:1 KJV
As we head into a new year, I am reminded that despite any challenges that we may have faced and any that may arise in the future, we serve a MIGHTY GOD. He is seated on the throne, and He is in COMPLETE control.
I saw the beginnings of a local news article that read: Good Riddance 2021… My hope and prayer of that as we leave 2021 and enter 2022, that we not focus on all that went wrong, rather we recognize the gift of each present day with which God has blessed us.
I also hope and pray that although much of the church has taken a Selah, for much of 2020 and 2021, as we enter 2022, we seek God for the purpose He has for His body of believers and that the church will use the authority given from the power of Almighty God and the Holy Ghost dwelling in us to usher in a mighty move of His Spirit as was experienced in the early church and anticipated in the last days.
I hope we will awaken and arise from our slumber, no more dwelling on what’s wrong with the world, but looking to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Looking to the hills where our help comes from. Our help comes from the Lord. It’s time to arise and take back what the enemy stole from us. Many of us are coming of seasons of loss, seasons of drought. I’m not saying that we’ll never lose anything or anyone again. Rather, instead of being victims of our circumstances, it’s time to arise and come boldly to the throne of grace.
I am full of anticipation for this new year, despite the reports. I choose to believe the report of the Lord.
