Righteous Anger is a buzz phrase associated with the Roe vs. Wade decision. Many women are stepping forward in their righteous anger to demand their rights of choice and proclaim their rage.
Righteous informally means: excellent, good. However the definition for Righteous is: (of a person or conduct) morally right or justifiable; virtuous.
Morally right… Righteous is being misused. And sure, I’ll acknowledge their anger. However, there is nothing righteous about it.
I’ve also read articles quoting a notable politician stating: “I believe I have the rights that I have not because the government gave it to me, which you believe, but because I’m just a child of God; I exist.” Honestly, I don’t see how this is an argument for Pro-Choice, as it was intended. It rather sounds like a Pro-Life defense.
And what does the Bible say about it?
These six things doth the LORD hate: Yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, Proverbs 6:16-17 KJV
For thou hast possessed my reins: Thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Marvellous are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well. Psalm 139:13-14 KJV
And the countless verses, beginning in Exodus continuing into the New Testament that state: Thou shall not kill.
And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28 KJV
Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. Psalms 127:3 NLT
I think one of the greatest surprises to me in all of this is how enraged individuals are over “losing the right” to kill innocent babies. Pro-choicers are taking their outrage so far as to disrupt churches, showing complete disregard to the house of God, as a means to protest.
I find it to be disgusting and disrespectful.
I’m praying for the media and these individuals.. I feel as though we are increasingly confusing good and evil.
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20 KJV

The wrath of man never works the righteousness of God. Period. Even as children of God, our anger must be directed at the sin. Sinners sin – that’s what the unconverted man does. The painful thing is hearing so called believers calling evil good and good evil. We ought to know better…

What you said you said well. The sad truth is we can’t expect the world to come in agreement with God until they come out of the world. Praying for this and continuing to show the love of God is our best weapon against the evil of the day.

Thank you, Donna. I agree. We must show the love the love of God and continue to pray. Letting God fight this battle is the only course of action I see as a viable one.

I think the verse you quoted at the end sums up the problem with people’s minds and hearts today, confusing good and evil. What a wicked age we live in. Thank you for posting this.

Thank you for stopping by and for the support. I completely agree with you, too many today are confused about what is good and what is evil. I saw on the news today protesters singing, “Thank God for abortions.” It is truly sickening and wicked.

I am not a perfect human
the spirit and the soul
are in me
not out there
it’s very hard though
without a savior
to bear the burden of my own sins
important to me
the reality of the soul
that which the soul
says to me in a dream
to understand the dream
trying to do better every day
