“Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?” Isaiah 45:9 KJV
You know we hear so much today about how people are changing their identity. Some places of employment require their employees to assign their pronouns to their signature blocks and even wear them on their name tags, because you can’t assume by looking at someone what pronouns they use. You also can’t assume by what gender they identify these days.
Apparently it’s difficult to define woman. They no longer want to call me mom or mother in the schools, rather I am the birth parent.
“And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Genesis 2:23 KJV
Woman was defined from the beginning.
We live in such a time where we question everything. I remember being told by my Buddhist teacher in a high school philosophy class that if we had never questioned our beliefs we didn’t truly understand or believe them. He informed us that his goal was to make us question. If by the end of the year we returned to our original beliefs, we truly believed.
Talk about a crisis of faith at a pivotal point.
The Bible says it, I believe it. Only, we weren’t allowed to use the Bible. And this was before the days of Google. I tell you… What a time..
Yes, I believe. And yes, my faith was shaken.
I see all that’s happening in the world right now. All the questioning. The move away from God. The persecution of the Christian community and it both sickens and saddens me.
Where I live there seems to be a marriage of witchcraft and Christianity. People can be in church one moment and having their cards read the next. They base their decisions on astrology and astrological signs. When we’re actually supposed to seek God.
This is a call to prayer. As the Church, we must keep our eyes open, our Bibles open. We must study the Word of God, hide it in our hearts. Pray the Word. God promised that His Word is a shield and buckler to us. We must keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. We must stand firm on Christ the solid Rock. He is our Firm Foundation.
Amen and amen.
