Today – this week I feel like a fraud. I have been playing a part. I have been pretending to be someone I’m not. All

Hi friends! My name is Jessy, welcome to my blog!
I was born and raised in the sunny state of Florida. I joined the US Army in 2011 and moved to the beautiful state of Washington (talk about a culture shock). I am a divorced mother of three amazing children. My ex-husband and his wife happen to be good friends of mine and some of my greatest supporters.
Just before the summer in 2021, after much prayer and seeking God, we began the process to move to the TexArkAna area. I knew it would be quite the journey, still I chose to trust God.
Despite the many challenges faced during my life, I have learned to trust and depend on Jesus Christ. I, too, have the testimony that "I shouldn't be here today, BUT GOD!" I have been blessed to learn of His love, His grace and mercy. I am far from being the perfect Christian (whatever that is), still I strive daily to be who God has called me to be.
Through the storms of life I have been able to reflect on my own life and learn. I have learned what love really means, how to love God, others, and even myself (I didn't always know how to do this), also the power of prayer. I firmly believe that it is the prayers of loved ones, and even those I have not met, interceding on my behalf, that has helped to bring me to where I am today.
"On the Outside Looking In" details the many lessons I learn each and every day. This includes my journeys as a mother, friend, all that I learn about Christ, prayer, the Bible, etc..
I don't think that I have ever really done a full "About Me" section. So, we'll consider this a work in progress :) I will update it as we go.
Thank you for joining me! I hope to hear from you and get to know you all as well!
