I dropped my eldest off at college a month ago. I admit that I was worried. I worried that maybe I wasn’t ready to let her go. Maybe I didn’t teach her enough. There’s always more to teach them… Maybe she would mess up. Maybe I was lose her to the world. Maybe she would walk away from God.
Then I heard God’s voice: Do you trust Me?
How could I not trust God almighty? How could I not trust the maker of the heavens and the earth? The creator of the universe? How could I not trust Him? Just as Hannah trusted Him and gave Samuel, her firstborn back to Him, after her was weaned… Just as Abraham trusted Him to the point of not only knowing that God would provide a sacrifice… but offering the son of the promise as a sacrifice to God..
I trust Him…
