The Impossible

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I’m in an awkward place right now, if I can be quite frank. I’d like to ask for your prayers as I seek clarity from Jesus…

You see, I know His ways are perfect. I know His ways and thoughts are higher than my own. And I trust Him. As I trust Him to order my steps, that He has my future in His hands, and that He knows what’s best for me, I must admit that I’m faltering in my faith.

“When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.” Psalms‬ ‭94‬:‭19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Surely, God knows me. He knows the desires of my heart. He knows what’s best for me, better than I do. And maybe that’s why… Maybe what’s best for me doesn’t look the I’d imagine it to look? Maybe it doesn’t sound the way I’d expect it to? Maybe it’s not what I’d expect or want? Maybe it’s something I will grow fond of one day?

And I don’t want to seem ungrateful. I don’t want to cause any harm…

Maybe I need to shift my perspective? Perhaps I need to change the way I’m praying? Maybe I just need a little more time? Maybe I need a little more faith?

Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” Luke 18:27 NIV

  1. Father, God of the impossible, I bring my sister’s heart, to the foot of Your throne. I pray, the questions she has, the answers she needs, will be revealed in time. I pray peace, strength, in the midst of it all, help her to be still and know, her heart is in Your hands! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
