New Season

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 NLT

Sometimes, I find that I learn things the hard way. Sometimes it takes me several times to learn a lesson.

I’m getting better at this.

When I stop and really pay attention to what God is doing, I realize that His ways are definitely not my ways, neither are His thoughts my thoughts. His are so much greater – so much higher!

God sees the whole story. I only see part.

O my son, give me your heart. May your eyes take delight in following my ways. Proverbs 23:26 NLT

I’ve often considered this season of my life to be a season of transition. And it has been, in so many ways. But thing is, whatever season we find ourselves in, at some point, we have to come out.

As I find myself transitioning from my season of transition, I realized that I’ve been comfortable here.

Where a lot of people don’t like change and find transitions difficult, I welcomed every new step. I think to the point that I used transitioning as a way to run.

God wants us to be at peace and rest. We can’t just run. We have to face life. We have to endure it.

As I enter a new season.. I don’t know what God has in store, but I trust Him. I don’t understand it. I may not even like it, but I trust Him.
