Don’t Worry

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I believe it was the poet, Sylvia Plath, who stated, I talk to God, but the sky is empty… She also ended her life by suicide after 2 failed attempts.

Let me assure you, the sky is NOT empty. God hears you and when we stop and listen, He is also speaking to us.

Jesus cares about us. It does not matter who you are or what you’ve been through. I personally take solace in the fact of knowing His great love for us. While God spoke the world into existence and every living creature that lives in this world, He took His time with us.

Man and woman, God formed us with His own hands. He breathed His own life into our nostrils that we may live. He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, out of His great love for us, to take on our sin; to conquer death and hell, and sin, so that we could be endued with His power from on high. So that His Holy Spirit could live in us.

That’s how much our God loves us.

“If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭28‬-‭31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We serve a God who takes thought and care for His creation. He cares about every single thing in this world. So, of course, He cares about me and you.

So don’t worry, don’t fret. Seek Him. Seek the kingdom of God. And as Jesus said in His Word, everything else will be added to you.
