“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.” Ephesians 4:2 NLT
Love is patient… That’s how the What love is/not… section of 1 Corinthians 13 starts off: Love is patient…
If that’s the case, why do we excuse and even make jokes about parents not being with their children, spouses not being patient with each other, etc… We live in a society where patience is a laughable attribute of the past.
This is wrong.
Love is patient.
We are supposed to exercise patience with each other.
And yeah, I dislike chewing sounds as much as the next person. However, it’s that love I have for the one making the chewing sounds that allows me to exercise patience.
I wasn’t always the most patient person. But love – God – even those in my life who love me, have taught me how to be patient, how to love better.
I fail at this more often than not, so I’m thankful for those in my life who are patient with me.

So thankful for those who have been-and still are-patient with me.
