I had often wondered and thought about HOW the antichrist would come and deceive many. I couldn’t understand it.
Wouldn’t it be obvious?
To SOME, yes. It will be/is obvious. To those who do not know God. Sadly, no.
I found this for the meaning of anti:
“Anti-” is a prefix meaning “against,” “opposing,” or “opposite” . It can also mean “rival,” “counteracting,” or “neutralizing”. As a standalone preposition or adjective, it means “against” or “opposed to,” but it is most commonly used as a prefix.
Counteracting… Opposite…
I found this to be interesting.
“Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matthew 24:23 KJV
Thing is, antichrist will not come blatantly opposing Christ. He will come professing “christ”. But not, Jesus Christ.
He will come leading people away from Jesus Christ, in the name of “christ“.
