YOLO! This phrase sums up quite a bit of my time in the military.. It was the catchphrase of the time. Everyone was saying it. You said it right before doing something that you probably shouldn’t have.. You said it to escape the accountability of your own actions, and dare I say, as a way to escape the consequences.
YOLO: You Only Live Once…
“If we who are [abiding] in Christ have hope only in this life and that is all, then we are of all people most miserable and to be pitied.” 1 Corinthians 15:19 AMPC
Thankfully, we don’t live for this life only. Thankfully, we have a hope for what’s to come. We have a hope for eternal life after the death of our flesh. We have hope for our spirit to live with Christ.
We don’t only live once…
We do, however, need to consider where our souls will spend eternity.
