Are You Watching?

“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; and ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their Lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.” Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭34‬-‭38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

One thing I feel certain about is that we are living in the last days and we must be watching (prepared) for the second coming of Jesus Christ.

We are living in an age of increasing wickedness, and morality is on a rapid decline. We are experiencing wars and hearing rumors of wars. If you pay attention to the news at all, you see that the love of many has waxed cold. We see parents killing their children, children killing their parents, children killing other children, mass shootings, antisemitism, people speak boldly against Jesus Christ, and the list goes on and on…

So, are you watching?

Are you preparing for the coming of Christ? Are you ensuring that your household is prepared? Are you telling those around you?

I feel like in this time we are living, we must be prepared. We must be watching.

I don’t a day to go by where I don’t tell anyone about Jesus. I don’t want a day to go by where I don’t seek Jesus for myself.

I find it rather difficult that there are those, who, in the name of Jesus, put others down, justify sin, and a lack of compassion and love… But I know that greater is He who is in us, than He who is in this world.

Truth is, God wins. It is He who has the victory. It’s always been designed to be that way. We must ensure we watching and waiting and prepared for His return. That way, we too are on the side of victory!
