Never Forget

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Do you remember where you were before Christ called you? Before He saved you?

Not so long ago, I shared my own story with someone.. Now, I was born and raised “in the church.” But, I backslid. Life, circumstances got the better of me. I turned my back on God. I sometimes wonder if I ever really knew Him. Truth is, I had not known, understood, or recognized the love of Jesus in my life.

In any case, in sharing my own experience.. I acknowledged and admitted a truth that I had not stated aloud before: After slipping, falling, failing, leaving the only truth I knew, I had searched everywhere, for proof that God still loved me. I needed/wanted a concrete answer that there was still hope for me.

No one was able to give me that answer. Instead, I was met with all manner of condemnation. That is, until I met Jesus, for real, through the unbridled Word of God, and His never failing love.

What an amazing feeling to realize – and an incredible thought to not forget where you have come from, how far you have come, and how much we are truly loved…
