small Yes

You know, I learned first hand that it’s the small, seemingly innocuous yes or compromise, that leads to a MASSIVE backslide – before you even realize it.

I allowed myself to say yes to “small” situations, experiences, thoughts, etc.. to which I would have normally said no. And before I knew it, I found myself so separated from the presence of God.

The enemy doesn’t get you to sign on to backslide or rebel against God in one fell swoop. Instead, he’s cunning and gets you with the small yes. This is why we must stay firmly rooted in God’s Word. This is why we must have a prayer life. We can’t compromise. It doesn’t matter how tired you are, or what’s going on in your life – thank God anyway! Worship anyway! Pray without ceasing.

Don’t fall into the trap of the small yes. As the saying goes, Sin takes you further than you want to go, keeps you longer than you want to stay, and costs you more than you want to pay…
